David Lagercrantz (born 1962) made his début in 1997 with a book about the Swedish adventurer Göran Kropp's conquering of Mount Everest. The novel Himmel över Everest (Sky Over Everest) was published in 2005 to great critical acclaim and sold 40 000 copies in Sweden. The novel Syndafall i Wilmslow (Fall From Grace In Wilmslow) about the British mathematician Alan Turing is his most important work so far, and his first book published by Albert Bonniers förlag.
