Eva Adolfsson is one of the most prominent Swedish writers and literary historians. In 2006 her previous novel Förvandling (Metamorphosis) won the Swedish Radio's novel prize. A book of literary essays was shortlisted for the August prize for non-fiction in 2003. She is also a literary critic with Dagens Nyheter.
