The Swedish Academy announced on the 6th of October that longtime Bonnier author Tomas Tranströmer won the Nobel Prize for Literature. In its announcement, the jury said the prize was awarded to Tranströmer "because, through his condensed, translucent images, he gives us fresh access to reality."
