The jury motivated its choice as follows:  “A smorgasbord of letters of the alphabet filled with exciting accessories which surprise the reader with their form and fantasy. Where everything is different, yet belongs together. A book that can be read in many different ways and where the cover, letter by letter, arouses the reader’s emotions and curiosity.”

The Children & Young Adults category attracted 144 nominations from 35 publishing houses.
